Mould

Why does mould keep coming back?

If mould returns after you clean it, the moisture condition that caused it is still there.

Cleaning treats the symptom

Wiping or spraying mould removes the visible growth, but mould only grows where there is moisture and a cool surface. Remove one and not the other, and it comes straight back.

Find the moisture source

The recurring pattern usually points to surface condensation, high humidity, poor ventilation, cold bridging or a leak. Identifying which applies is the real fix.

A lasting result

Effective treatment means identifying the moisture source, controlling the underlying conditions, remediating properly and — where needed — improving ventilation or warming cold surfaces so the conditions no longer favour mould.
